I, myself, have been training my own dogs since I was a grade schooler, exhibiting in obedience since I was a little thing, learning from my family. In 1999, I began working with Carol Lyon, owner of Fox River Dog Obedience; and actually knew my grandmother from the kennel club they both belonged to and that Carol eventually worked at as their obedience trainer. Funny what a small world it is!!!! As 30+ years of training went by for Carol, she started looking for a replacement so "there will still be good dog training in this area for people to get when I'm gone." In 2001, I took over as owner and head trainer of Fox River Dog Obedience, expanding on the programme that Carol had started all those years ago. Today, I use MissY as my full-time dog, as well as one of my demo dogs in the obedience programme.

Our clean, friendly in-home boarding programme is for any and all dogs that have graduated (or are currently attending) the beginner's class (or above); and also dogs that have qualified through a private interview if they have not previously attended our classes. All current vaccinations required ("combo"-distemper, parvo, etc.; rabies; bordatella-"kennel cough"), plus we have bordatella on site if your dog has not yet been Kennel Cough vaccinated. We offer:
